The sports season ended successfully!
"A healthy body makes a healthy mind" - this popular maxim is not only known but also practiced among DSSE employees. During last months, over 30 representatives of the company fought for victory in football, volleyball or running games. All under the brand and with the support of Daicel.
The first struggles concerned our football team. This inter-company competition took place in Zakopane on September 20-21. Our team won 1st place in Tatry CUP 2019 (consolation cup).
Our representatives also took part in volleyball tournaments. This time it was possible to win with many teams from the region and stand on the podium in the general classification, taking a strong 3rd place.
The next big event was the 4th Żarow Race, during which the 16-person Daicel Team ran at a distance of 5 km and 10 km. After exercise, the runners could strengthen themselves with a hot sour rye soup and home-made bread as well as supplement vitamins and sugar levels with fruit and sweets. Everything was available in the specially prepared Daicel Fan Zone. At the end of the event, there was time for thanks, results and awards, also sponsored by DSSE.
The best result achieved Magdalena Bednarczyk who was also awarded as the fastest woman in the zone (she confirmed her speed and persistence shortly afterwards, taking 2nd place in the marathon in Budapest; the trip was also financed by DSSE). This event has already been included in the schedule of permanent support and cooperation, also next year we are counting on even greater commitment of our employees and better results.
